We offer two Math Inspiration afterschool classes designed to develop strong foundational skills and inspire young problem solvers:
Recommended for incoming Grade 3-4 students who want to deepen their math skills and gain early exposure to math problem solving skills.
Supports students to participate in Math Kangaroo and Math League competitions.
Recommended for Grade 5-6 students who want to strengthens essential math foundations while accelerating students into middle school-level math covering the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) Prealgebra curiculum.
Introduces students to the experience of math competitions such as Math Kangaroo and Math League, encouraging curiosity and confidence in a supportive environment.
2025-2026 Classes
Full school year program: 08/25/2025 - 06/11/2026
Each student attends two classes per week, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on school days
Maths Foundation: Tuesdays and Fridays
Foundation Boost Prealgebra: Mondays and Thursdays
Class Schedule
Twice per week, 3:30pm-5:30pm;
3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Lab opens for early arrival. Students are welcome to come in, relax and take a break before class begins.
3:30 PM – 4:10 PM: Introduction to the weekly math topic and key concepts with examples.
4:10 PM – 4:20 PM: Break
4:20 PM – 5:15 PM: Core skill development, group discussions, and topic-focused math games.
5:15 PM – 5:30 PM: Pickup time. Teachers are available to answer any questions regarding students' homework.
Commute
For students from Mariposa and San Carlos Charter School, we organize walking groups from the schools to our lab.
For other schools, we assist parents in forming carpool groups within the same school.
